Job Summary
Lead architecture, design, and delivery of strategic digital banking platforms for customer onboarding, relationship management, and workflow automation. Define technology roadmaps covering Generative AI, Agentic AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation while driving modern engineering practices and cloud-native adoption. Manage multiple engineering squads across distributed locations, overseeing delivery outcomes including scope, quality, stability, and security. Partner with business, operations, product, risk, and compliance teams to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions within a matrix organization. Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing technical talent while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant technology experience
- Significant experience in banking or financial services
- Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering large-scale enterprise platforms
- Demonstrated experience operating in multinational organisations with matrix reporting structures
- Track record of delivering mission-critical customer-facing platforms and digital transformation programmes
- Exposure to commercial, corporate, SME, wealth management or transaction banking platforms
- Experience evaluating and implementing emerging technology solutions
- Strong understanding of risk, security, data governance and regulatory requirements in financial institutions
- Experience leading AI transformation programmes within banking
- Demonstrated ability to influence technology strategy at senior leadership level
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Ability to lead through complexity in a matrix environment
- Experience working with teams across multiple geographies and cultures
