Job Summary
Engineering Team Lead responsible for leading, mentoring, and ensuring design quality for a team delivering HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and other contract services. Supervises 3+ engineers, oversees design engineers across design-build services, mentors and trains engineers, delegates workloads, and ensures quality control and project planning. Responsible for reviewing energy compliance and LEED documentation, engineering calculations, field engineering tasks (site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management), and effective communication with colleagues and project teams to meet project schedules.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or Construction Management
- 3+ years design experience
- 1 year in a role demonstrating leadership and mentoring capability
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and constructability
- Strong familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards
- Strong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems
