Job Summary
Administer and maintain engineering systems, applications, and configurations to ensure reliable support of engineering and manufacturing activities. Develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards, workflows, and standard work procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across processes. Provide functional leadership to CNC Programmers across all business units, establishing consistent programming standards, CAD/CAM best practices, and knowledge sharing. Coordinate engineering system improvements with IT, software vendors, and Global Engineering to identify opportunities for process automation and productivity gains. Maintain engineering data, documentation, templates, and CAD/CAM standards to ensure accuracy and effective use. Actively participate in continuous improvement and technology initiatives, including the evaluation and implementation of new engineering systems and digital capabilities. Support Engineering Managers and manufacturing operations by providing effective technical support to support the continual flow of product through the manufacturing process.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a 'U.S. Person' as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical engineering or other related field
- 8+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
- 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems (Siemens NX preferred)
- Strong understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
- Ability to initiate, record, recommend, verify, and implement corrective actions or solutions to problems relating to product, process or quality system
- Knowledge of procurement procedures and authority to issue purchase orders for subcontracted services
- Knowledge of ISO 9002 standards and demonstrated ability to lead or support implementation initiatives to ensure compliance and maintain certification
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel domestically – 25% max
