Job Summary
Gather requirements through interviews, document analysis, and surveys to distinguish stated requests from underlying business needs. Assist in configuring and optimizing CAD and PLM platforms while developing basic engineering data queries and reports using SQL or Power BI. Support design of dashboards, documentation of functional artifacts, and configuration testing of engineering systems under guidance. Participate in CAD/PLM implementation activities, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and post-deployment stabilization. Manage multiple tasks and deadlines while adhering to industry standards and data control procedures. Work as a junior liaison between engineering, design, and IT teams to translate design needs into actionable system requirements.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance
- Reliable, punctual attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of equivalent experience and education in a related field (Engineering, Drafting/Design Technology, Computer Science, or Information Technology)
- Basic understanding of engineering design processes, CAD/PLM systems, and product lifecycle management principles
- Proficiency in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Requirement of strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret engineering and design needs and translate them into PLM application and operational requirements
- Exposure to Siemens NX, Siemens Teamcenter, or Dassault Systèmes CATIA V5 through coursework, internships, or prior work experience
- Familiarity with basic SQL queries or experience with Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools
- Coursework or experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, or systems documentation
- Understanding of engineering or manufacturing environments (aerospace, automotive, or related industries)
