Engineering Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise and direct daily operations of the engineering team to ensure optimal performance, assigning work orders and monitoring completion for accuracy and quality. Address maintenance-related guest concerns in collaboration with department heads and oversee preventive maintenance programs to meet safety and operational standards. Train, coach, and evaluate engineering staff while ensuring compliance with ADA requirements, OSHA regulations, and hotel policies. Monitor energy consumption, manage equipment and supply inventory, and conduct periodic inspections of property assets. Coordinate with Security to maintain locking systems and attend departmental meetings to align with operational goals. This role requires working varying schedules, nights, weekends, and holidays, with mandatory attendance at training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of maintenance experience
- 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration and Life Safety operating systems
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, equipment operation and maintenance, record-keeping and reporting systems
- Knowledge of computer based operating systems
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend repetitively, pull, push, climb ladders, work outside, extensive walking and lift up to 75 lbs
- Valid Florida Driver's License required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and written with team members, leaders and guests required
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Preferred knowledge of: HotSOS, transcendent, luthron, JCI and Niagra
- EPA certification is a Plus
- Basic MEP knowledge preferred
