Job Summary

Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and analyze performance data to predict equipment failures for our fleet of mining trucks and shovels. Assist in developing cost-effective maintenance strategies, reviewing historical costs and key performance indicators to optimize reliability. Support condition monitoring activities by analyzing inspection findings and predictive maintenance indicators to identify emerging risks. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions for equipment bad actors and participate in updating maintenance standards and procedures. Maintain unwavering commitment to safety while working alongside experienced engineers and tradespeople in Fort McMurray.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in bachelor's degree program in Mechanical or Mining engineering is preferred
  • Interest in heavy equipment maintenance and reliability
  • Motivated and positive attitude
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract
  • Required to be physically and mentally fit for work
  • A pre-employment drug screening test must be successfully completed
  • All candidates applying to Canadian Natural must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
