Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and hotel equipment (including kitchen and mechanical room gear), visually inspect equipment, and operate shut-offs and valves. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts, document daily activities to shifts, and demonstrate knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related building systems. Carry equipment, perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical components, lighting, TV programming), perform surface prep and painting, use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance, and assist with landscaping as needed. Exhibit basic computer skills (inputting schedules, adjusting temperatures) and follow safety policies, while upholding professional conduct and teamwork. The role is described as full-time, located in Berlin, Germany, with no explicit remote work and no relocation assistance specified.
Required Qualifications
- License or Certification: Driver’s License
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
