Job Summary
Engineering Solutions/Representative for HVAC products in the Greater Victoria Area responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with engineers, architects, contractors, developers, and owners; provide technical solutions to meet design intent, stay current with industry and local codes, and promote product specifications. Requires ability to read drawings, communicate effectively, attend manufacturer trainings, and participate in industry events (ASHRAE, SMACNA, MCA, VRCA). Will cross-train on mechanical and air-side products, support product introductions, and present Lunch and Learn sessions. Some travel will be involved as appropriate. Bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in mechanical engineering with 2 years of mechanical/HVAC experience; Professional Engineer designation is an asset. Strong communication, self-motivation, and willingness to learn are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience of Mechanical Engineering with strong knowledge of HVAC systems
- University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering specialization required
- Holding a Professional Engineer designation (PEng) is an asset
- Ability to read Architectural and Mechanical drawings
- Excellent communication skills – Verbal, Listening and Written Presentation
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Self-Motivated, Creative and Resourceful
- Ability to work under pressure unsupervised
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mind
- Strong work ethic guided by personal integrity and mutual respect
