Job Summary
Engineering Site Construction Manager to oversee on-site construction of medium-scale data center infrastructure across the United States. Responsibilities include end-to-end project oversight from site preparation to commissioning, vendor coordination with general contractors and subcontractors, schedule management, quality assurance, risk mitigation, client interaction, and comprehensive documentation (RFIs, change orders, punch lists, daily reports, closeout materials). Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, 7+ years in construction management (3+ years in mission-critical/data center projects), strong MEP/civil/structural knowledge, project values >$5M, OSHA safety compliance, proficiency with Procore/ CX Alloy/ Primavera/ MS Project, and willingness to travel across the U.S.; on-site presence is expected. Preferred qualifications include PMP/CCM or equivalent, experience with High Density Liquid Cooling data centers, prefabrication or fast-track methods, and prior experience with Vertiv or similar providers. The role emphasizes leadership, client-facing communication, and thorough documentation and commissioning support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years focused on mission-critical or data center projects
- Strong understanding of MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems and civil/structural construction
- Proven ability to manage medium-scale construction projects with values exceeding $5M
- Excellent knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, CX Alloy, Primavera, MS Project)
- Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S. and remain on-site for extended durations
