Job Summary
The Engineering Project Manager – Data Center is a key design team leader responsible for managing schedule, budget, and technical scope to mitigate risks and adapt to project dynamics. Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving skills with experience in large data center projects, focusing on energy-efficient designs and sustainability metrics. Duties include planning project activities, collaborating with teams to meet reliability standards, managing project scope, and ensuring quality control throughout project execution. Proficiency in data center systems, standards, and project management methodologies is crucial.
Required Qualifications
- ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-7 years technical experience in an engineering/construction environment
- Minimum of 3 years project management experience (Data center or mission-critical facility projects preferred)
- Proficient in project management skillsets like critical path, negotiation, cost control, cost estimating, risk management, contract management, and communication
- Understanding of cost, schedule, and scope management
- Proficient with Microsoft: Windows, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Desired Qualifications
- Project management certification preferred (IAPM or PMP)
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, SharePoint, SpecsIntact, RSMeans, CAD, Revit and Creo
- Knowledge of data center-specific tools like DCIM, EPMS, SCADA software, and CFD modeling
- Familiarity with industry certifications like Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP), Accredited Tier Designer (ATD)
