Job Summary

Oversee and manage programmatic execution of engineering scope, including cost target flow-down, schedule creation, and budget alignment with program milestones. Act as Scrum Master to remove barriers, own the engineering control account, and collect performance data to drive corrective actions. Manage engineering scope baselines, evaluate change requests, and enforce configuration control per the System Engineering Management Plan. Lead proposal activities, collect staffing demands, and track technical risks while ensuring system compliance with the Statement of Work. This role supports the Strategic Launcher Engineering team under the Fleet Ballistic Missile umbrella. Candidates must hold a STEM degree with relevant experience and possess US citizenship for Secret clearance eligibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline
  • Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline
  • PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • 0 years relevant experience
  • 4 years' experience as a technical project lead
  • Understanding of Engineering processes with execution experience
  • Experience summarizing and communicating status reports to technical leadership at a level higher than immediate management
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Solid technical foundation in systems engineering with experience in multiple aspects of the systems engineering process
  • Experience in Program/Project management of hardware intensive programs including demonstrated knowledge of earned value management
  • Self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to act as a liaison to the customer for engineering efforts
  • Prior military or government contract experience
