Job Summary
Translate product requirements into technical scopes and align internal engineering teams with external development partners on shared execution plans. Own the master schedule for solutions programs, driving milestones across EVT, DVT, and PVT phases while managing scope, technical reviews, and deliverable acceptance with vendors. Identify and mitigate program risks related to partner capabilities, long-lead components, and supplier qualifications before they impact schedules or costs. Manage program budgets including NRE, tooling, and build costs to maintain alignment between vendor commitments and business objectives. Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders to ensure manufacturing readiness and on-time production ramp. Communicate complex technical status and vendor tradeoffs clearly to executive and cross-functional audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
- MBA or MS in Engineering Management
- PMP certification
- Proven experience managing hardware or technical solutions programs delivered through external development partners
- Experience in industries involving advanced electromechanical systems
- Strong technical fluency across mechanical, electrical, and firmware disciplines
- Demonstrated experience managing ODM/CM or outside development partner relationships
- Experience with scoping, technical reviews, deliverable acceptance, and coordinating manufacturing readiness activities
- Knowledge of hardware build phases (EVT/DVT/PVT)
- Knowledge of design freeze processes
- Knowledge of the tradeoffs inherent in transitioning from development to production
- Proficiency with program management tools for scheduling, risk tracking, and cross-functional coordination
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., FCC, CE, UL, MIL-STD)
- Experience driving vendor-delivered products through certification processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to identify critical path risks
- Ability to drive resolution across competing organizational priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to effectively align product managers, internal engineering teams, and external development partners
- Ability to surface tradeoffs to leadership
- Ability to present program status with clarity and confidence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work with high levels of ambiguity
- Ability to handle evolving requirements
- In-person collaboration onsite Tuesdays through Fridays
- Flexibility to work remotely on Mondays
Desired Qualifications
