Job Summary
Engineering Product Manager role on-site in Beverly, MA leading cross-functional efforts to plan, execute, and deliver product improvements and new product introductions for semiconductor equipment. Responsible for defining requirements with engineering and product teams, coaching engineers in project scheduling and management, facilitating tradeoff analyses among cost, features, performance, quality, and time to market, identifying resource constraints and proposing solutions, establishing standard communication practices, generating status reports and metrics for management, participating in post-mortem reviews, and supporting ROI/financial analyses for upgrades and retrofits. Requires solid project management discipline, ability to balance multiple disciplines, and strong collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams; incorporates Beta sites, Joint Development initiatives, and knowledge of manufacturing processes. Desired skills include understanding equipment configuration, customer and field support coordination, and ability to navigate ambiguity, motivate teams, and manage priorities to meet deadlines; Semiconductor equipment development experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Solid project management skills
- Demonstrated ability managing multi-discipline engineering projects
- Understanding of how to balance costs, schedule, and performance
- Ability to investigate problems and recommend solutions to minimize project risk
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to scope and cost new project requests (Non-Standard Requests NSR)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Technical background in a new product development environment
- Strong engineering background
- Experience with program post-mortem reviews
- Ability to analyze and report project financial data
- Experience implementing project management technology where appropriate
