Job Summary
Engineering Process Improvement Engineer to lead process improvement initiatives within the Engineering organization across product pillars, drive internal part numbering implementations across platforms (Altium, SolidWorks, PDM, NetSuite), develop customer-facing part numbering strategies, establish baselining with Configuration Management and the Engineering Management Office, enhance ECR workflows, map and optimize engineering processes, define Design Gates procedures, create and maintain SOPs and governance policies, align engineering processes with PDM/PLM systems, plan Jira dashboards for resource visibility, lead RCA across product pillars, and support internal/external audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
- 5–8 years of experience in engineering, process improvement, or engineering operations
- Strong understanding of engineering workflows, product lifecycle management, and configuration control
- Experience implementing and managing part numbering systems and product structures
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Management processes (ECR/ECO)
- Experience with process mapping methodologies and tools (e.g., flowcharts, value stream mapping)
- Working knowledge of PDM/PLM systems and data management best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
