Engineering People Lead responsible for building strong relationships with engineers across time zones and cultures, leading one-on-one and team meetings, setting expectations, driving the full performance management cycle, supporting individual growth, navigating challenging conversations with empathy, collaborating with internal stakeholders to align on goals, guiding teams through organizational changes, and fostering an open, accountable, and respectful culture in a fully remote European context.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading engineering teams or people management in tech environments
- Ability to manage performance and deliver actionable feedback
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle tough conversations
- Comfortable working with globally dispersed teams across time zones
- Experience in a tech or open source environment is a plus (but not required)
- Ability to build relationships across engineers, stakeholders, and leadership
- Facilitation of effective meetings and clear follow-up actions
- Empathy, openness, and resilience in changing environments
