Job Summary
Lead engineering efforts for custom-fit refrigeration door systems by translating customer specifications into manufacturable designs and BOMs. Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations including fabrication, assembly, and QA while driving production planning, scheduling, and throughput improvements. Manage the project lifecycle from order intake through installation and closeout, coordinating with sales and customers on scope and timelines. Act as the primary liaison between Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Field Services to build scalable processes and develop a high-performing technical team. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, optimize margins, and ensure compliance with refrigeration and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar)
- 7–12+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or operations leadership
- Experience in custom manufacturing, industrial products, or refrigeration/HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of CAD, BOMs, and production processes
- Proven experience managing both shop floor operations and project execution
- Ability to operate in a hands-on, player-coach role
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with retrofit-based or field-installed products
- Knowledge of glass, metal fabrication, or refrigeration systems
- Familiarity with lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- ERP system experience (Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
