Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day engineering operations, including developing asset maintenance plans, creating staff schedules, and managing vendor contracts. Ensure full compliance with local, state, federal laws, and the Americans with Disabilities Act while supervising and training all engineering staff in customer service and safety protocols. Lead emergency response efforts by immediately following up on alarms to determine causes and report findings to the Front Desk. Assist the Director in creating annual budgets, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and participating in monthly profit/loss reviews and energy conservation initiatives. Handle room maintenance requests promptly and support special projects or renovations as requested.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hospitality field
- Electrical skills
- Plumbing skills
- Boiler operations skills
- General maintenance skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Effectiveness in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
