Job Summary
Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team in manufacturing, overseeing capital projects (equipment installations, facility upgrades, new product lines), ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, food safety), and driving continuous improvement via lean design and cost-savings initiatives. Collaboration with EHS, Quality Assurance, production, supply chain, and external partners is required. Responsibilities include planning, design, and execution of projects; managing budgets and resource allocation; implementing energy-saving initiatives; and leading a diverse engineering team in a dairy/cheese production environment. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 7+ years of engineering experience with 3+ in leadership, proficiency with CAD, PLCs, automation, CMMS, and knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills; and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to high temperatures, dairy allergens, and physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in dairy or cheese production, is highly preferred
- Proven experience with capital projects, maintenance management, and process improvement
