Job Summary
Engineering Manager for the Mortgage Verifications Team at Checkr/Truework. Lead technical vision, partner with product management to deliver new features, reduce technical debt, scale architecture, and drive high-quality, customer-facing experiences. Nurture and grow team members, hire top talent, represent the team in planning and product meetings, and optimize processes for velocity and quality. Requires 4+ years as an engineering manager and 8+ years as an engineer, with hands-on experience in TDD, pair programming, agile methodologies, and architecture design for scalable, regulated products. Must be able to collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions that support millions of consumers and enable safe, informed decisions. In-office work is expected at hub locations (San Francisco, Denver, Nashville) and Santiago, Chile with 3+ days onsite per week; relocation stipend may be available.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years as an engineering manager
- 8+ years as an engineer
- Experience with TDD, pair programming, and agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of service architecture and system design
- Experience working on products at scale in highly regulated domains
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop inclusive teams
- Excellent communication with customers and stakeholders
