Job Summary
Lead engineering teams, define roadmaps, and drive execution from concept to release while managing product owners and tech leads. Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions, establish development plans, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning. Prioritize traffic, conversion, and impact by collaborating with marketing on SEO, SEA, and CRO strategies to optimize Core Web Vitals and user experience. Enforce quality standards through automated testing, observability, and security practices while navigating architectural trade-offs on high-traffic platforms. Embrace an AI-first approach by integrating agentic workflows for code generation and architectural decision-making. Refine Agile/Scrum processes to improve velocity and predictability, and manage stakeholder expectations across business and technical units. Recruit top talent to expand the engineering organization. Report directly to the Head of Tech and contribute to the engineering management team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimaal 8 jaar ervaring in software engineering
- Minimaal 3-5 jaar in een leidinggevende rol (bijv. als EM, Team Lead of Engineering Lead)
- Technisch sterk in het PHP- en JavaScript-ecosysteem
- Begrijpt architectuur, technische trade-offs en de uitdagingen van high-traffic platformen
- Ervaring met of sterke affiniteit voor SEO, SEA en CRO
- Snapt product: roadmaps, prioritering en gebruikswaarde
- Ruime ervaring met moderne software ontwikkeling (CI/CD, cloud-native werken, DevOps-mentaliteit)
- Hecht aan kwaliteit, testing, monitoring en security
- Werkt actief met agentic AI-tooling
- Spreekt en schrijft vloeiend Nederlands en Engels
