Job Summary
Lead the delivery of overhead transmission line projects across design, planning, and execution phases; provide strong technical and people leadership, mentoring engineers and uplifting capability; foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture; ensure compliance with Australian and international standards for design, testing, and commissioning; apply PLS-CADD, TOWER and/or POLE to support high-quality outcomes; oversee the full asset lifecycle from planning through construction, operation, and maintenance; build and maintain client relationships to enhance market presence; lead bids, proposals, and strategic growth initiatives to secure new work; support project delivery in a Project Director / Project Manager capacity where required; promote innovation, safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement; ensure SHEQ compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Relevant experience within the Transmission & Distribution industry with proven Australian market expertise
- Demonstrated leadership experience across people, projects, and mentoring/coaching
- Strong background in overhead transmission line design and engineering
- Experience with PLS-CADD (TOWER/POLE) highly regarded
- Proven ability in business development, proposals, and winning work
- Experience delivering projects as a Project Manager or Project Director
- Engineering registration (CPEng, CEng or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
- A collaborative, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
