Job Summary
Engineering Manager for the TPSI backend team at Cambridge Mobile Telematics. Lead the team responsible for ingesting, assembling, and processing high-volume sensor data, guiding delivery of the trip pipeline from raw data through stitching and downstream analytics. Drive reliability, scalability, and evolution of a Python/AWS-based backend and data pipeline platform. Manage 2+ direct reports, recruit and develop talent, and partner with architects, product, and UX to design robust services using storage, streaming, and batch data. Own planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects; mentor engineers, review code for efficiency, scalability, and quality; set up monitoring and testing to understand real-time health; and participate in on-call as needed. Maintain adherence to development standards and processes while representing the team in internal and external forums.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- 1+ years of management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering (preferred)
