Job Summary
Engineering Manager, Test at Medtronic leads a group of test engineers across the Platforms and Solutions portfolio within the Cranial & Spinal Technologies unit. Responsible for planning, directing, and implementing the test strategy, design, and execution for software products (cloud services, hardware, embedded/firmware, or combinations), ensuring on-time delivery of milestones across multiple projects. Guides the development of test methodologies, automation strategies, and verification approaches in virtual environments and/or physical labs, and ensures alignment with regulatory, cybersecurity, privacy, and quality system requirements (e.g., FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2). Selects, develops, coaches, and evaluates personnel to grow technical talent. Requires a Baccalaureate degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 3+ years), with experience in software in a Medical Device/Software as a Medical Device context and mentoring/cross-functional influence.
