Job Summary
Engineering Manager – System Design based in Noida with remote working flexibility leads detailed power system studies for STATCOM and FACTS projects, including insulation coordination, harmonic analysis and filter design, transient and switching studies, load flow and short-circuit studies, dynamic stability, LVRT/HVRT assessments; develops and validates models in MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, PSSE, PRSIM and related tools; prepares technical reports and customer presentations; coordinates with control, protection, primary engineering, and commissioning teams; mentors and leads a global engineering team delivering high-quality, on-time results for international utilities and projects; requires 14–18 years of experience in power systems, 5+ years in STATCOM/FACTS, and a degree in Electrical Engineering (BTech/MTech/PhD) with strong English communication; relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- 14 – 18 years of relevant experience in Power System Studies
- Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in STATCOM/FACTS projects
- Experience in utility scale grid integration and EHV substations preferred
- BTech/MTech/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering preferably in Power System
- Experience from Substation/Grid system design solutions, e.g. FACTS, HVDC
- Knowledge in development/application of engineering processes and continuous improvement
- Strategic view to anticipate and implement coming needs
- Fluent written and oral skills in English
- Strong prioritizing and time management skills
- Strong understanding of FACTS and Power Electronics applications
- Deep knowledge in IEC/IEEE/CIGRE standards related to harmonics and insulation coordination
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience of handling global utility/customers’ requirements
- Exposure to Indian Grid Code, CEA regulations, and international utility standards preferred
- Desire to work in international environment
