Job Summary
Manage office operations, including staff performance, budgets, schedules, and project execution. Develop new business, maintain client relationships, and support the company's strategic vision within the investor-owned, municipal, and electric cooperative utility market. Conduct technical reviews, prepare project proposals, and oversee bid specifications. Provide quality control on substation protection and control designs and PE-sealed construction packages. Oversee resource planning, hiring needs, and career development for team members. Ensure cross-discipline collaboration, resolve design conflicts, and support construction activities. Requires a PE license, 10+ years of substation experience, and 15% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- ability to obtain licensure in additional states
- 5+ years in engineering consulting and team management
- Strong business development, client management, and networking skills
- Experience with engineering and design software (AutoCAD, CymTCC, SEL Software, Omicron Testing Universe)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- MBA, PMP, or Master's in Engineering Management
- 10+ years of substation and relaying experience
