Job Summary
Build and lead a highly engaged distributed team by hiring, supporting, and coaching engineers to deliver consistently. Work cross-functionally with product, design, and support teams to set direction, anticipate scaling challenges, and execute iterative roadmaps through transparent processes. Coach team members on career development, perform code reviews, and guide technical decisions while championing debt reduction and system improvements. Establish clear communication guidelines, refine delivery processes for reliable shipping, and collaborate with peers to improve organizational culture and inclusivity.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
- 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
- experience working cross functionally to build prioritized roadmaps for your teams
- ability to balance shipping new features, managing tech debt and investing in system improvements
- hands-on capability to perform code reviews and bug investigation
- comfort writing SQL queries to analyze data and find inconsistencies
- ability to work with your team to ensure that they are consistently producing value and quality software through shorter iterative development cycles
- ability to work with your team to improve the quality of our products, ensuring that they meet product requirements, customer needs, and SLAs
- ability to provide technical leadership to the team and work with engineers to help guide them into important technical decisions
- experience working with engineers at different levels and having coached them in their career development
- customer obsession, prioritizing their outcomes and experiences
