Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of 5-8 full-stack engineers by providing career growth, technical guidance, and constructive feedback while maintaining hands-on credibility through code reviews, architecture discussions, and occasional feature development. Drive code quality by establishing best practices, enforcing thorough PR reviews, and fostering a culture of ownership. Champion process improvement by identifying bottlenecks and refining development workflows, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines. Enable developers by removing blockers, advocating for their growth, and creating psychological safety for innovation. Collaborate across product and design to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery of complex features, while contributing strategically to architectural decisions and participating in hiring and onboarding. Support the team through on-call rotations and incident remediation.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering management experience
- 5+ years as a senior engineer transitioning into management
- Deep technical expertise in full-stack development
- TypeScript
