Job Summary
Hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and scale an AI-powered cloud optimization platform. Role combines technical leadership with people management: drive architecture and delivery of scalable systems across AI, infrastructure, and cloud services; hire and structure a 10–20+ engineer team; mentor engineers; collaborate with product, design, and business teams to translate strategy into execution; shape engineering culture, tooling, and practices. Requires 7+ years engineering experience, 5+ years in leadership, backend/infrastructure expertise in AWS/GCP/Azure, and a CS degree. Onsite in San Francisco with a strong product-minded, data-driven approach and startup experience.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of total engineering experience
- 5+ years in a managerial or technical leadership role
- Experience as a CTO, Eng Lead, or similar role at a company with $5M–$30M+ ARR
- Strong backend and infrastructure expertise, particularly with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Solid understanding of AI/ML applications in cloud or infrastructure optimization
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Availability to work onsite in San Francisco, Monday–Friday
