Job Summary
Engineering Manager for Water and wastewater leading a multi-discipline team on municipal projects, providing technical leadership in water and wastewater treatment, engaging directly with clients to address technical aspects, aiding project managers in scope, schedule, and budget execution, participating in client and regulatory meetings, mentoring junior staff, developing strategies to align with client interests, contributing to business development with technical approaches and scopes of work, and delivering presentations to major municipal clients while managing budgets and schedules to support project success. The role includes supervising a team of engineers and technicians, coordinating with a project management office, and developing opportunities with clients in Iowa.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification desirable
- Experience in engineering consulting
- Proven track record delivering multi-discipline projects
- Wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansion experience
- Management responsibilities including hiring, disciplinary actions, and salary administration
- Ability to supervise and mentor engineering staff
- Experience collaborating with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and vendors
