Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the manufacturing process engineering function by designing methods to maintain, improve, or enhance existing production processes. Develop and validate new production processes, ensuring effective transitions to standard practices while collaborating with engineering departments to confirm new product producibility. Analyze budgets, schedules, and production requirements to determine cost-effective resource allocation and recommend revisions to operating procedures. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, lean manufacturing certification, and 10+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing process engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing or Industrial Technology
- Certification/Certificate in lean Manufacturing
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering
- 5+ years new product development (NPD) in a team environment
- 5+ years applying SIX Sigma (DMAIC) tools
- 5+ years applying Lean Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment
- 4+ years managing/supervising direct reports
