Job Summary
Lead two software engineering teams delivering payment-related product features, platform enhancements, and technical improvements for athenaCollector. Collaborate with product management, design, and quality engineering to define priorities and guide technical decisions across object-oriented languages, relational databases, and modern frameworks in monolith and cloud environments. Drive product development efforts that improve system reliability and engineering efficiency while managing execution across multiple priorities. Develop team members through coaching, feedback, and goal setting, and apply AI tools to enhance engineering productivity and problem-solving. Support incident response, root cause analysis, and technical reviews to refine estimation and sprint execution practices. Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and roadmap planning to shape implementation approaches and strengthen organizational delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role with responsibility for delivery, team development, and execution
- 5+ years of core experience in product design and development
- Experience with modern object-oriented programming languages
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and related technologies
- Experience with enterprise monolith applications as well as Cloud based enterprise applications
- Demonstrated success developing employees professionally and supporting growth opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading teams and working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in payment processing or complex real time systems is an advantage
