Job Summary
Engineering Manager in hospitality facilities responsible for managing maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment, systems, furnishings, and building components in line with energy conservation and preventive/predictive maintenance programs. Direct oversight of central plant operations, painting/project teams, project management with vendors, water feature maintenance, and fire alarm systems, with collaboration to manage department budget. Requires five years in engineering, two years of management, three years in mechanical trades, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and property-specific software (HotSOS, Energy Management Systems). Preferred bachelor’s degree and luxury-hotel hospitality experience; role emphasizes proactive operations leadership, business partnership, and delivering safe, efficient facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Five years’ experience in engineering
- Two years’ management experience
- Three years’ experience working in mechanical trades
- Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and various property specific software applications, HotSOS, and Energy Management Systems software
