Engineering Manager, Merchants

Lead the Merchants engineering function by managing two core teams (Core and Growth), owning technical direction for billing architecture, checkout flows, and the delivery promise engine, and driving the evolution toward a full enterprise platform. Own sprint health, backlog quality, and delivery predictability while ensuring Keep the Lights On work for billing reliability and notification infrastructure always has a home. Manage and grow engineering leads, conduct hiring for both teams, and foster a culture of ownership and technical excellence. Write and review RFCs for non-trivial features, review code with equal rigor, and partner closely with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Data teams to translate strategy into roadmaps and address operational pain points.
