Job Summary
Engineering Manager to lead the Merchant Tablet team at DoorDash, driving backend and Android engineering efforts for AI-powered features, ensuring reliable, scalable mobile and web experiences for merchants. Lead a team of 9+ engineers, provide architectural guidance, invest in reliability and observability, collaborate with product/design/analytics/S&O, and recruit/develop talent to scale the org while delivering high-impact initiatives like an AI-powered chat interface to resolve live order issues and improve merchant satisfaction and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in people management leading full stack product teams
- 2+ years of experience leading Android engineers
- 8+ years of industry experience
- Strong product sense and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience selecting and adopting web technologies to improve testing and performance
- Customer-centric mindset for building platform services
- Growth mindset and adaptability in a hyper-growth setting
