Engineering Manager

Job Summary
Lead the plant's engineering function to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of a continuous-process catalyst recycling facility. Develop lifecycle management strategies, manage capital improvement programs, and oversee engineering design, procurement, and commissioning activities. Track asset health through inspections, conduct root cause failure analyses, and lead process hazard analyses and management of change activities. Foster collaboration across Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental teams while coaching and mentoring the engineering team. Prepare project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure projects complete safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 10+ years of heavy industrial experience, reports to the Asset Manager, and includes day shift with occasional evening or weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 10+ years of engineering experience in heavy industrial or continuous-process manufacturing
- 5+ years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience managing capital projects
- Experience leading an Asset Management Program aligned with ISO 55000
- Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and elevated platforms
- Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to respond to plant emergencies outside of normal business hours
- Primarily day shift with occasional evening or weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
