Job Summary
Engineering Manager for NordVPN Infra leading platform and infrastructure teams. Define and drive platform strategy aligned with engineering goals; enhance developer experience from local dev to production using self-service infrastructure and AI-driven tooling; lead SRE-focused teams, improve reliability, and foster a culture of ownership and growth. Collaborate with SRE, Procurement, and Product to prioritize pain points, embed SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, observability), oversee incident management and post-mortems, and mentor engineers toward career growth. Hybrid work with 3 office days and 2 remote days across Kaunas and Vilnius offices; responsibilities include cross-team enablement, reducing toil, and driving scalable platform solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years engineering management experience (leading SRE/platform/infrastructure teams)
- Strong platform thinking and experience building tools or internal products
- Solid background in distributed systems and infrastructure
- Hands-on with modern infrastructure stacks (cloud, containers, CI/CD, observability)
- Experience with SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs, observability, incident response, chaos engineering)
- Proven cross-team collaboration and communication skills
- Team development and hiring/retention experience
- Process-driven approach to engineering workflows
