Engineering Manager (HTL)

Engineering Team Leader to guide a small team of designers and engineers in Alpena, MI. Hands-on, on-site leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with mentoring responsibilities. Lead and mentor engineers and designers, allocate resources and tasks, review manufacturing drawings and product designs for quality and feasibility, collaborate with senior engineers to estimate costs, timelines, and deliverables, use CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred; AutoCAD, E-Drawings, BIM 360 helpful) and Microsoft Office to develop concepts and documentation, manage BOM/inventory/quoting/tracking, facilitate Lessons Learned sessions, and drive process improvements. Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success; strong leadership, design-for-manufacture principles, and cost-aware engineering are required.
