Engineering Manager, Hardware Compute

Job Summary

Engineering Manager in Warsaw leading the Hardware Compute organization (METAL, METALDEV, METALNET). Build and staff a Warsaw-based team, create a hiring plan across multiple technical domains and levels, partner with Recruiting to attract and retain talent, onboard and ramp new hires, manage day-to-day workloads and sprint planning, align with North American engineering leaders on roadmaps and priorities, coach engineers and leaders through feedback and career development, foster ownership and operational excellence, identify gaps and drive improvements, support servers hardware infrastructure and GPU interconnect platforms, collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results, and communicate status and trade-offs to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in hardware, infrastructure, systems, networking, or platform engineering roles in data center, cloud, or high-performance computing environments.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and developing engineers or team leads.
  • Strong interest in building teams, staffing organizations, and developing engineers in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proven experience growing or scaling teams, including partnering with recruiting and building hiring processes.
  • Proven experience leading operational or engineering teams responsible for production infrastructure at scale.
  • Strong technical depth in server hardware, firmware and BMC technologies, Linux systems, hardware automation, GPU infrastructure, or HPC networking.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across engineering, operations, support, supply chain, product, or vendor organizations to deliver complex programs.
  • Strong project and execution management skills, including prioritization across multiple workstreams and clear communication of trade-offs.
  • Track record of building lightweight but effective processes that increase clarity, predictability, and execution speed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with deeply technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership in fast-moving environments.
