Job Summary
Lead and scale the engineering team across monetization infrastructure and product-led growth, owning the monetization platform including payment integrations, subscription management, billing, and AI usage tracking. Drive growth surfaces for onboarding, activation, discovery, and lifecycle flows while collaborating cross-functionally to optimize the full user funnel. Build a team capable of moving fast on experiments while establishing durable shared systems, and mentor engineers to drive technical direction. Work in-person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco within a strong in-office culture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a senior+ engineer
- 2+ years managing and leading high performing teams
- Experience leading growth engineering
- Track record of moving activation/retention/conversion metrics
- Experience with monetization or payments infrastructure
- Experience with subscriptions
- Experience with billing
- Experience with app store payments
- Experience with pricing systems
- High cross-functional fluency
- Ability to think deeply about product experiences
- Ability to look at a funnel and form a point of view on what to change
- Comfort pushing into ambiguity to find and drive the next big growth bets
- Ability to evaluate architecture decisions
- Ability to guide the team's technical direction
- Ability to review code
- Ability to build prototypes
- Ability to jump in as needed
