Job Summary
Engineering Manager, GRC Platform at Anthropic to lead the team building automated workflows, data pipelines, and integrations that scale governance, risk, and compliance programs. Establish foundational GRC processes and architecture, aggregate data across cloud infrastructure, identity management, HRIS, ticketing, version control, and CI/CD. Translate compliance requirements into policy-as-code, develop AI-powered workflows using Claude to extend team capacity, and create dashboards and reports for continuous compliance validation. Partner with Security, IT, and Engineering to implement integrations and drive audits (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, FedRAMP). Require 12+ years of experience with 3-4+ years managing ICs or small teams, 5+ years designing automated workflows or system integrations, and familiarity with cloud platforms, IaC, CI/CD, and GRC tooling. Experience with agentic AI, APIs, and data integration is preferred. The role involves leading an AI-forward GRC engineering function, hiring, defining the technical roadmap, and building scalable processes in a fast-growing startup environment.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of total experience
- 3-4+ years of experience managing technical individual contributors or small teams (2-5 people)
- 5+ years of experience designing automated workflows, data pipelines, or system integrations
- Strong understanding of data integration, normalization, and analytics for compliance
- Knowledge of APIs and integration patterns (REST, webhooks, authentication, polling vs push)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices including policy-as-code implementations
- Ability to work independently, own complex problems from design through implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with risk-based prioritization
- Familiarity with GRC platforms and/or automation tooling
- Scripting experience (Python or similar) for automation and data transformation
- Willingness to sponsor visas and work in a hybrid office-based environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
