Engineering Manager

Job Summary
Coordinate and manage all engineering processes with construction management, ensuring procedure manuals are followed and presenting them to team members, A/E, and Owners. Train the project team on procedures, document posting, and submittal reviews while facilitating meetings with Gilbane staff. Work with Project Engineers and Superintendents to coordinate jobsite safety, manage the RFI process, and expedite material deliveries. Establish and manage schedule, cost, and control procedures; prepare front end documents, monthly pay requests, and scopes of work for bid packages. Negotiate changes with trades and owners, perform constructability reviews, and collaborate with business development to align project performance metrics with sales strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 8+ years of experience with a construction management or general contractor organization including management or lead engineering role for large construction project (>$75M)
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong verbal presentation and written skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Financial management familiarity
- OSHA 30-hour certified
- Thorough MEP knowledge
- Complete understanding of contract document & specifications
- Proficient in Procore
