Job Summary
Own the roadmap: manage priorities, planning, and sequencing of work in line with company goals while translating technical and business requirements into clear delivery plans. Lead people by holding regular one-on-ones, providing clear feedback, and conducting structured performance management to develop engineers and drive growth. Plan and build the team through hiring, headcount planning, and resource allocation, acting as the liaison between Engineering, Trading, and Quant teams to design and roll out new products. Cultivate team health by managing culture, morale, and productivity, and address conflicts early and constructively. Drive delivery predictability by tracking progress against plan, managing risk and scope trade-offs, and reporting status clearly to stakeholders. Ensure alignment by keeping team work connected to organizational goals and collaborating closely with technical leads on direction.
Required Qualifications
- Strong project management skills
- A technical background sufficient to earn the respect of the engineers you manage and to engage credibly in technical discussions
- Demonstrated experience leading, growing, and managing the performance of software engineers
- A track record of delivering software through a team, balancing scope, quality, and timelines
- Strong people-leadership skills
- Sound judgment in hiring and developing talent
- Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders
- Based in Amsterdam, or willing to relocate
