Job Summary
AI-minded Engineering Manager to lead a software/AI squad within a conversational ecosystem and onboarding journey. Translate AI demands into scalable architectures, define and execute the technical roadmap with Product, drive metrics and usability/retention outcomes, mentor engineers, optimize development processes, and produce foundational technical documentation. Lead 2+ years of direct reports in a fast-paced tech environment, focusing on delivery of high-performance, scalable solutions and cross-functional collaboration to advance a fintech AI chatbot product for cross-border remittances.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- 2+ years of experience leading direct reports in a fast-paced technology environment
- Strong delivery-oriented mindset with experience coordinating teams to achieve tangible business results
- Ability to architect at a high technical level and drive system design
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team and own developers' growth and career concerns
- Advanced/Fluent English
- Advanced/Fluent Portuguese and/or Spanish
- Experience in startup environments is a strong plus
- Bias for action and capacity to anticipate future architecture requirements
