Engineering Manager, FDE Infrastructure (NORAM)

Job Summary
Engineering Manager to lead Forward Deployed Engineers responsible for end-to-end deployment of Cohere's North platform in private cloud and on-prem environments. You will own customer success from technical implementation through delivery, collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape enterprise AI delivery, and mentor the team on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and enterprise-grade deployments. Expect to optimize performance for OpenSearch, databases, and other Kubernetes services, define scaling guidelines for GPU/CPU compute, and build scalable processes and technology for a fast-growing organization. Nice-to-have experience includes additional European languages and AI/ML infrastructure familiarity. Cohere supports remote-friendly work with multiple offices and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership
- Hands-on experience deploying enterprise software at scale
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication skills in English
