Engineering Manager, Embedded Software

Job Summary
Lead, manage, and grow a team of embedded software engineers delivering firmware and hardware-integrated software for Knowmadics’ edge and sensing products. Own delivery across schedule, scope, and quality; provide technical guidance on embedded architecture and integration; partner with Product and Program Management to plan releases; remove blockers and manage risk; establish and improve CI/CD and code-quality practices; conduct design and code reviews; ensure adherence to security and MOSA standards; foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of embedded software experience
- 3+ years managing engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required
- Strong technical foundation in embedded C/C++, Linux/RTOS, and hardware/software integration
- Experience delivering embedded products through full lifecycle
- Experience with engineering processes, agile delivery, and capacity planning
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentorship skills
