Lead an exceptional team of Individual Contributors in San Francisco to evolve Adyen's experience platform, owning the end-to-end transformation of the merchant experience from traditional dashboards into intelligent, streaming, and conversational financial interfaces. Define architectural vision for dynamic UI components in Vue/Preact/TypeScript and Java-based backend orchestration, translating high-level system designs into structured engineering output. Partner with Product Managers to build a balanced roadmap that weighs feature delivery against technical debt and system stability while championing operational rigor around live performance, security guardrails, and incident response. Maintain a close connection to the codebase to provide meaningful architectural guidance and code reviews, fostering a culture of autonomy and psychological safety. Serve as a key organizational node bridging global hubs in Amsterdam, Chicago, and other locations through documentation-first communication.
