Job Summary
Facilitate cross-team collaboration, remove blockers, and manage the rhythm of development including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. Own day-to-day operations of multiple engineering teams by identifying bottlenecks, streamlining processes, and championing experiments with new methodologies. Lead quarterly planning to align engineering efforts with business objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and build high-performing teams through thoughtful hiring and career development. Maintain a strong technical pulse by reviewing architectural decisions, code quality standards, and technical debt while escalating strategic decisions to the VP of Engineering. Partner with product, design, and other departments to ensure alignment on priorities and communicate progress transparently. Establish and track meaningful engineering metrics to illuminate performance trends and validate improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in software engineering
- 2+ years in engineering management
- managing multiple teams or a significant engineering function
- Strong technical background
