Job Summary
Lead a globally distributed web development team to enhance management capabilities for Contentful's platform, focusing on entity re-use, enterprise governance systems, and scalable content management services. Define the team roadmap, collaborate with Product and Design to execute technical strategies, and oversee day-to-day operations including coding, testing, and deployment while ensuring performant, secure, and scalable architecture. Mentor developers across all levels, drive continuous improvement, and balance innovation with immediate business impact.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading development teams
- Track record of delivering complex, high-impact technical solutions
- Proficiency in web technologies (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with headless CMS platforms (preferably Contentful)
- Experience optimizing performance and scalability
- Experience handling complex content structures and large datasets
- Strong mentoring track record
- Familiarity in performance reviews, check-ins, and calibration sessions
- Experience with API-first platforms
- Experience optimizing front-end systems that consume complex API data
- Familiarity with Enterprise governance models and needs
- Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices in web technologies
- Good understanding of content modelling and structured content concepts
- PostgreSQL knowledge, including designing, optimizing, and maintaining relational databases
