Job Summary

Provide technical vision and strategy for building platforms to scale to the next set of million members. Build strong relationships across product management, engineering, data science, and security partners to balance immediate stakeholder needs against longer-term vision. Lead a team of backend engineers to execute on a shared vision between security, engineering, and product partners while growing the team through coaching and honest feedback. This Engineering Manager role sits within the Identity Engineering organization, specifically the Consumer Authorization team, which builds access policy platforms for Netflix's streaming, Ads, and Games products. The position requires deep expertise in distributed systems architectures and authorization technologies like ABAC and RBAC to drive innovation in high-scale, low-latency applications.
