Engineering Manager - Communications Capture

Job Summary
Lead and expand a growing team of backend and frontend engineers while managing engineering projects from conception to completion. Collaborate closely with Product Managers to shape the team's roadmap, balancing product goals and engineering priorities. Design and architect long-term technical solutions that deliver significant impact on the wide platform and customers, driving continuous improvement of the team's products and infrastructure. Coach, mentor, hire, and grow individuals to reach their full potential within the Dublin R&D hub. This new team builds Gong's core data pipelines that ingest customer interactions from external communication systems, serving thousands of customers globally.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience leading and developing growing teams
- Proven industry experience as a Senior software engineer
- Strong technical background focusing on large-scale, cloud-based web applications
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership
- Most importantly, a passion for motivating, mentoring, and cultivating people
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (advantage)
- Experience with user-facing products (advantage)
- Holding a degree in computer science or a similar field (preferred)
